About Jen

Jen Walts (she/her) is a Certified Birth Doula & Hypnobirthing Instructor/ Childbirth Educator. As the owner of The Birth Path, she serves families in Western Mass & beyond. Jen was born in Springfield, raised in Western Massachusetts. After living on Cape Cod for 6 years, she and her partner returned to the area before welcoming their little one at Seven Sisters Midwifery & Community Birth Center in Florence, MA.

With 10+ years of teaching experience and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Quinnipiac University, Jen pivoted smoothly & dove deeply into the birth world, where she empowers families to navigate all things perinatal. She has developed a unique and effective framework for private birth prep, and she regularly offers Hypnobirthing as an officially certified instructor.

Choosing either of these childbirth education options means LIVE in person or virtual learning with a top notch program and teaching skills that are bound to make the experience engaging, organized, and well worth the investment.

Jen is a certified yoga instructor and well-practiced in guiding individual and group meditation and learning. She completed her certificate in Montessori’s Early Childhood program, and she has a great passion for child development, accommodating neurodivergence, and leading with healthy attachment & conscious parenting. Breath, movement, presence, and witnessing all that ebbs and flows have been at the core of her pregnancies, partnership, parenting, birth work, life, and continued learning.

Through her work as a certified birth doula, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting families in hospitals, birth centers, or home births, inclusive of all birth preferences and able to meet you where you are in your journey.

After attending 100 births in the last four years, Jen’s passions are clear. She is particularly passionate about all families receiving:
1) quality childbirth education/ having access to an educational offering beyond the hospital setting, and

2) guidance during their prenatal preparations that empowers and alleviates layers of engrained fear & anxiety.

HOW JEN SUPPORTS: She focuses on honoring, witnessing, and providing full presence during a life-altering transformation for your family. Jen is a firm believer that the birther’s nervous system, baby’s position in utero, and your family’s choice of birth team will impact the way the process is felt and experienced.
